PairWise is an adult dating service. Nobody under 18 may use it, and child sexual abuse and exploitation (CSAE) material or behaviour of any kind is forbidden. This page states how we keep minors off the service, how to report anything that gets through, and who to contact.
We prohibit, and remove without warning: any sexual content involving a minor; any attempt to contact, groom, solicit or sexualise a minor; the sharing or requesting of such material; and the use of the service by anyone under 18. Accounts found doing any of this are terminated, not warned, and reported to the relevant authorities where the law requires it. We preserve what the law requires us to preserve for such a report.
18 is a rule the server enforces, not a box on a form. An account that submits an age under 18 is refused outright, before anything is created for it.
Age assurance is biometric. Verification estimates age from the face in the liveness check, never from the age somebody typed — a minor can type any number. If no usable estimate can be made, the check fails closed and the account stays unverified.
An unverified account is matched with nobody. Age verification is required on both sides of every match: a member cannot be matched without it, and cannot be shown to others without it. The result is that an account which cannot demonstrate it is an adult reaches no one.
Photographs are checked before anybody sees them. Every uploaded photo is scanned automatically for explicit content and rejected if found.
Every profile and every conversation carries Report and Block. A report reaches our moderation queue immediately, and blocking takes effect at once — a blocked person can no longer see you, reach you or be matched with you.
Messages are also scanned automatically as they are sent, across five categories including harassment, abuse and deception, and anything flagged is queued for human review.
Anyone — member or not, including parents, guardians, platforms and authorities — can write to [email protected]. Reports concerning a minor are treated as urgent and ahead of everything else in the queue. Please include anything that identifies the account: the profile name, the email address, or a screenshot.
This address is also our point of contact for Google and for law enforcement on child safety matters.
A report about a minor or about CSAE is reviewed by a person. Where it is substantiated we remove the account and its content, preserve what the law requires, and report to the competent authorities. Where a member is under 18, the account is removed whether or not anything else has happened.
